Player welfare and safeguarding
Camp Gee Football Academy treats welfare as a football requirement, not an extra. Every player is entitled to a safe, respectful environment with proper medical and personal support.
Safeguarding
Protecting every player
- A named safeguarding lead responsible for concerns and reports
- Clear reporting routes for players, families and staff
- Staff conduct standards covering behaviour, communication and boundaries
- Additional protections for players under 18, including guardian involvement
- Confidential handling of every concern raised
- No penalty for any player who raises a concern in good faith

Health
Medical and physical care
Medical screening
Players declare medical conditions, allergies and medication before taking part in any football activity.
Injury management
Injuries are recorded, managed and reviewed before a player returns to full training.
Return-to-play standards
A player returns only when the coaching and medical review supports it, never under pressure.
Nutrition guidance
Practical nutrition and hydration guidance appropriate for the training load.
Recovery and load
Training load and recovery are planned to protect developing athletes.
Mental wellbeing
Players are supported with the pressures of competition, selection and expectation.
Privacy
How sensitive information is protected
Medical details, guardian contact details and welfare records are treated as confidential.
- Medical and guardian information is visible only to authorised academy staff with a welfare need to see it.
- Player assessments and development records are private and are not published.
- Information is shared with a club or third party only with the player's informed agreement, and a guardian's agreement for minors.
- Records are stored in the academy's secure management system with role-based access controls.
